This so simple. If you can't get them updated prior to your show time and you made a reasonable effort to do so on company property, call CS and tell them you can't fly with outdated plates. They can't force you to break the FARs. With enough people calling about this and refusing to fly they will have wifi available in a few days.

I literally cannot believe at how many of you are so bent out of shape over crew room wifi. I thought we would be more concerned with 401-404 being parked next month? Do the update at home before or after your trip and if you don't have Internet access inform your CP. Can we move on now?
