I look at bid lines as days on/days off - a work footprint only. Regular lines have solid lines of flying, and we also have hybrid and reserve lines, but none of that means anything. You can be #1 in base and they can change your trip at will, taking away that layover you may have wanted, or sending you home early, and thus costing you money. Once the bid awards have been published, seniority has no affect on what you'll actually earn or where you'll go.
