I resigned from NetJets in July with a hint of hesitation because I thought maybe the Union would pull through with a contract that would be comparable to the major airlines. I loved the job, but I'm glad I chose to leave. I even walked the picket line with them knowing that "a rising tide lifts all boats". Well, this doesn't raise the bar for anyone except the 15+ year demographic (when accounting for inflation). The fact that first year pay is rising less than 10% from 2007-2018 is shameful. That's a severe pay cut in real terms.
The "I got mine...screw everyone else" mentality is way too common in aviation. The PICs got theirs...the SICs got screwed.
