The union has come out and said that the leaks are wrong. Should I call my rep and say "I want you to vote yes on this thing and I have no idea what it is". Ok that last comment had some sarcasm.

Understood and you make very valid points. The system is far from the perfect. I can tell you though what has been rumored on this and other forums is correct.
Several reps have confirmed verbally what is contained in the TA.
