How many weeks is ground school? How many weeks are sims? LOFT Sims? IOE? Time off in between? Delays? Time between IOE and the beginning of reserve? The more details the better. I need to plan out everything for the months I'll be gone. Any other advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
5.5 weeks of ground school
3 cockpit procedures trainer sessions (1/2 week)
Maybe a few days off
8 sim sessions (more if you need it)
Checkride (usually about 2.5 weeks after starting sims)
About a week off, then IOE
Usually 2 IOE trips (25 hrs flt time)(takes roughly 2 weeks usually)
A few days off, then reserve.
Grand total about 12 weeks from start to finish. Don't expect much time off going through training, they want to get you on the line as efficiently as possible.
