Yep, that's about what I hear. I am planning to get my twin stuff knocked out over the next couple of months as well. Based on what I am seeing and the stories I hear, the regionals are def looking to hire. The pay will suck but I can make it for a year or 2 just fine on that pay.
My plane is a 1963 Mooney M20c and going though its first annual with since I purchased it. It will be good for a quick sale if nothing else in the short term. Where do you keep it? I'm in Virginia Beach.
Do you have 1500hrs and a pulse? If so, you can have any regional job you want.
With that said, also look into the 121 ACMI carriers. I got hired at a 121 MD-11 carrier with 1900hrs TT which paid twice what the regionals paid and I hung out there for 8 months and saw the world until Southwest called.
