Why would anyone sign a training contract in this environment? Is Mesa the only regional requiring one? I know Republic dropped their's a while back.

I'm looking at Mesa only because I live close to Dallas but I will cross it off my list if a training contract is required. Seems kind of crazy to require one in the current environment. It's one more reason to avoid a particular regional when you would think they would be changing things to make it a more attractive place to work, not less attractive.
I think most people make a decision on where to work based on issues other than the training contract. If they decide Mesa is where they want to work then they just accept the fact there is a training contract. A lot of people coming here will probably not be in a position to move on to better things until they have been here at least a year so it's not that much of an issue.

Your other Dallas choices are ENY and XJT if living close to base is high on your priority list.
