It depends on how many pass riders they have, up to a limit, but I think it's 12 a year. And I think they expire after 3 years.
Also, vacation passes don't automatically bump you. They are the same priority as you in your own metal, so it goes by seniority.
Personally, I rather have them keep the better benefits at mainline. That way you can enjoy them at your career airline instead of being undermined by the contract employees.

You will lose that battle. These travel benefits are all controlled by the CPA that the regional signed off on. For example, UAL was denying xjt the use of the Fa JS because UAL policy didn't allow it. Many captains insisted to the point that management told us to stop because UAL was threatening the entire CPA over it.
