It's doable. I'm on the 7ER and still in my new hire freeze, so I can't currently switch my base to Atlanta. I'm flying a redeye from LAX-JFK tonight, and I'm two leg commuting it home through Atlanta with the jumpseat reserved on both legs, because that gets me home significantly faster than waiting for the direct Delta flight, and it gets me home 17 minutes faster than the direct JetBlue flight. I'm also listed for standby on the earlier flights out of JFK and ATL back to AUS, but I wasn't able to reserve the jumpseat on those. They are way oversold, and I'm 10th on the list on standby, so I'm probably not going to get on either one of those.

If I were on the 73N and living in Austin, I would bid for Atlanta if I could hold a line on it. ATL 73N B reg only is my sixth choice on my standing AE bid, because the commute would be easier.

Maybe something like:

ATL 73N B reg only
NYC 73N B reg only
ATL 73N B
