Well thats not true, you need to read up on the agreements and contracts, they are not all the same CPA's as you describe.

Irregardless this argument is pointless. The vacation pass for mainline was an end run around the express carries after the contract negotiations ended, it's done.
Express got ride of the annual fee and buddy pass in exchange for free economy and segment fee in first class, all aircraft, regardless of owner.
There is nothing a crew can or should do other then watch out for the abusers that are all to common, I.E. changing to SAOV inside of one hour.
