I understand the number of lines can change month to month and maybe drastically when they move equip around after SLI, but wanna move close to a hub for the long term and I look at a base like ORD and see so little mainline flying and even smaller widebody flying that
MIA, CLT, DFW look like a much better long term option
When I see MIA has 69 group 3,4 departure per day that's good but I imagine a lot of those group 3's are 757 to the islands and northern SA(which will dissappear as 757 are parked) Crying shame on that, best plane ever made!!!!!!
Currently, CLT 767, 330 and A320 shake out as follows.
CLT 767I 5 Blocks (both Captain and F/O). No Transatlantic on the airplane. Only domestic and Caribbean flying.
CLT 330 20 Captain Blocks, 32 F/O Blocks. Extremely senior (especially in the Winter).
CLT 319 325 Blocks (Captain and F/O).
For LUS, the minimum number of blocks is set by the current bid. They won't change until another bid comes out. Right now, they've been set by the Jan 16 bid. So far, the bid is rolling over through March. Rumor is there is going to be another one in May.
CLT 767 is dying. All of the Europe flying on the airplane is in PHL. The 330 flying will increase slightly for the Summer (as some of the destinations are seasonal), but CLT 330 is extremely senior.
