Someone once told me that we are considered System reserves and not domicile reserves. So it is impossible to get any kind of consistency. So that is exactly why ALPA should look into "what is the basis for building a SC for tomorrow"? If it something like "well, we have slack time after 8pm and thats when we buildem" or is it something like "we are very scientific about SC's - we build them throughout the day based on weather forecasts for the Hubs and the last forecast we get comes in at 2300 so we build after we get the last forecast". Once the reason for SC's being build become apparent, we can have our negotiating team put together a side letter that requires SC to be built by a certain time and assigned by a certain time )preferably before 2:00pm the day before the assignment. This will give the Reserve some degree of certainty in the Reserve Pilot environment which is otherwise quite uncertain. In exchange for somekind of agreement, we'll give them something that they want.
