Of course it's relevent. If all Spirit labor groups made legacy wages with legacy longevity. Guess what, it wouldn't be an ulcc anymore, it'd be a "legacy" airline with an a la cartel pricing scheme and legacy costs. You can't have it both ways.
What's irrelevant is whether you feel like you're worth more or that you say you won't "subsidize" the profits. Because after it's all said and done, you simply will do it because thats the nature of the ULCC beast.
