I agree, now is the time. We just disagree with the course of action. I think we can have a much better QOL with opening the contract NOW, by turning down the TA. As I said in another reply, the pay raise would be nice, but for me, it's about work rules and QOL. This raise isn't enough for me to live with this contract another 2 years.
Please point out exactly what it is that has personally affected you concerning work rules and QOL? I'm asking for specifics and how often it happens that you "cannot live with this contract for another 2 years"? I am curious because I'm a narrow body Captain on reserve that just doesn't think that it sucks as much as you lead us to believe. Certainly not so much that I am willing to pass up almost 3000k/month over the next 2 years. Please help me understand what it is that is so bad for a 777 Captain? I'm just not working that hard.
