I don't understand why they would want to spoil a good thing by seeing the demise of the company and $$$ right before their eyes. The big 3 legacy carriers can absorb a fatal accident, I highly doubt Allegiant can.

That little "incident" whereby the MD-80s nose wheel started to rotate prematurely would have been a loss of all souls had the crew not recognized what was happening. That's probably 5 seconds between living and dying.
