LOA25 is a rounding error for this multi-billion dollar corporation but they are most definitely using it to ram this extension through.
With that reasoning I'm not sure how you could ever fix LOA 25 then. Let's say this TA flames out and we go into Section 6 negotiations. After a couple of years we come to a TA that includes a fix to LOA 25. One could make the same claim, suggesting that LOA 25 fixing was included to pressure the pilot group to vote the agreement in. So how would you ever make those pilots whole?

Personally I don't think that anything this nefarious is going on. LOA 25 has been a huge issue since it was implemented so I wasn't at all surprised to see a fix for it included in the first negotiations post C2012
