There will be a coordinated effort from the "free skies-open skies" crowd to hold pilot labor costs down.

You can look forward to the following:

1. messages from "experts" telling us that pilot costs must be held in check.

2. Open skies is good for the US economy and promotes fair competition.

3. messages from experts telling us we must lower our standards for admission into the profession. Thus promoting younger pilots to pursue aviation.

4. messages from experts telling us to raise the age limit to infinity because of the pilot shortage. They will need more "experienced" pilots.

Look forward to each of these four areas to be pursued and pressured. Each of the four are a danger to the profession.
