Wait, what?

Doesn't Section 11.8.d say...
In the event a qualified volunteer is not available from the Spirit Airlines Pilots' System Seniority List, and with the prior consultation of the MEC chairman, the Company may select simulator instructors who are not on the list.
Does anyone know what the pilot group was compensated for giving up this section of the contract? Or has an MEC grievance already been filed? How about filing an injunction to stop it?

Or is JA buying the company line that the CSI's are ground school?

Oh wait, 11.8.b says...
In the event an acceptable candidate for ground school training is not available from the Spirit Airlines Pilots' System Seniority List, the Company may select ground school instructors who are not on the list.
I'm fairly sure they aren't out of instructors to teach the CPT's and CSI's. Am I the only one who thinks this is wrong? While I don't agree with this poster that it will delay upgrades for a year, but it will a few months, and degrade the quality of instruction. Is the MEC completely asleep at the wheel?
