However, the ALPA National statements about the pilot shortage is rhetoric. No way around that. It's ignoring the data and supporting a political position instead of reality.

And there in lies your overall problem, well if it's good for a regional it's good for us. You really need to get your head out of your ass. We are a MAJOR AIRLINE not some **** ass regional. A 1500 hour wunderkind getting experience at a regional is very different from having to go through extra sims just to pass a type ride. Extra IOE just to hand him off to the captains here to hold there hand to get that experience. There is no blind acceptance, I don't believe in don't like it and I can tell you the MAJORITY of pilots in the entire industry don't like it. It circumvents the natural routes of major airline pilots.
