If you are referring to actual interview pass rate then duh, they CHOSE your app out of thousands to come in for an interview... Arguably the hardest part of getting a job at a major. A guaranteed interview gets you in the door, in front of those thousands. Of course the percentage of people from a guaranteed interview that get a CJO will be lower vs. OTS because they normally wouldn't have even called you in the first place... So tell the 300+ guys at Endeavor with CJO's that having a guaranteed interview is "less than worthless". Reality check needed for you.
Perhaps you are right. I was assuming that the person being interviewed was qualified for the interview. I see that you are assuming the opposite, that the person being interviewed is not qualified to get the interview on his own.
Looking at reality I really don't see why the person is not qualified for the interview. Just because there are thousands of applications does not mean that the applicants are any more qualified. Lets assume that the guaranteed guy is actually better qualified as they were in my examples. The statistics still show that the guaranteed interview guy still has a lower chance of getting the job.
The guaranteed interview is a devise used to deceive. It is less than worthless because it is a negative. The company does not want you there, they want you to stay where you are as long as they can.
And one last thing. The regional puts out posts indicating that the guaranteed interview is basically a sure way into the major, that it is just a formality. It is a recruitment devise for the regional, nothing else.
