No, not exactly. You drop the trip using the PD then get paid for it by applying one of your PB days. If you want, you could then WS the same trip out of the pot again and get paid double for it to use up your PB days.

The problem is you have to have good reserve coverage to PD the trip first. Here's the cliff notes version of best use of those days that you didn't use by Dec 31st.

They go into your supp vacation days bank and you can tag them onto vacation which makes them worth 3:15 each.

They are still available to use as payback days until the end of March, but since Delta IT is so advanced, you can't use them like normal PB days once the year is over.

You have to first PD a trip or a reserve day if coverage is good enough. Once you PD the trip, call scheduling and tell them you want to use your PB days in the supp vac bank to pay you for the PD. They will do it for you and it will show as TOFF on your schedule. Worst case scenario in this situation your PB day is worth 5:15. If you are good, you can usually get 6-7 hours out of them which is double what you get if you use it as a supp vacation day.

Off course if reserve coverage is bad and you can't PD anything before the end of March, you are stuck with getting 3:15 each out of them.
