Regarding the talk about being downgraded, can mesa just do that if they don't agree with a decision you made despite your seniority and awarded position? I can't recall ever hearing this practice at another airline. I've heard of people being disciplined in other manners for jeoprodizing safety or returning to their position as an FO after not successfully completing upgrade training, but not of being downgraded for a poor decision.
Most of the tales I've heard are people who probably never should have upgraded in the first place and it is usually related to competence. As far as decisions I've never heard of anyone getting downgraded because of a decision.
