I'd agree that united doesn't want that. That's why united just extended their contracts on a lot of skywests 700s to keep the rest from going to AA and having that issue.
This is what I heard a while ago from a cp (about this being in negotiation) and they just started expanding the Iah base again which is almost all UA700 flying. (Supposedly our 700 are extended into 2018)
The 700s that are leaving are coming out of the west coast system thus IAH should remain unscathed for now.
