Flyer, the LOA that outlines the flow has gateways for numbers.
The contract says base of 3 per month per year AA hires, and an additional 1 per month for every 125 pilots over the baseline of 350 pilots.
To answer your upgrade question, if you have 1000 hours 121 coming in, you will be in upgrade before you're off FO reserve.
