If you are at a base in Florida, you are reserve for ALL of Florida and will be limo'd all over rescuing aircraft, ferrying aircraft and flying other bases open time. I've found I get called a lot less on R5 or 6 vs R10 or 11. Seems like as the issues pile up during the day the reserves get called in to help clean up the mess.
What is R5/6 R10/11? Would PIT be a "small" base where reserves aren't used? Also is there a base in RIC? Or is that just a destination?
