The Detroit area is actually very nice! Cost of living is low. Winter isn't to bad and summer isn't to hot. Detroit gets a bad rap in the press but actually the city is really cool. It's vibrant and coming back, has a lots of great culture, sports, restaurants, bars, brewery's, and events. Within reserve call out drive time you can find anything you want except mountains. City living, suburbs, rural, lakefront, small town, medium town, college town, whatever. It's all here to chose from. If you want more specifics feel free to PM me. Also nice thing about DTW is it's pretty junior for us and if you get in at DAL its junior there. Some guys are getting DTW out of training at DAL, some have to commute to NY for six months or so. But if DAL is your goal, they have every fleet with the exception of the MD based here.
