Do we get paid big money to make strategic decisions? No way, we do not and it is not our job to "save the company". Anyone who thought the company was going to "get shutdown" (forever) is blindingly naive and forfeits the right to lead any pilot group.

So how were any pilots negatively affected? Well for one, the incompetent management that allowed the meltdown to occur was never replaced, that was a big loss for all of us. Unless you like stupid emails every holiday and phone calls at 2am, then whatever.

Number two, many pilots flew stupid junior assignment turns trying to help and then were told later on that it counts against their five. Do the math on the opportunity cost of helping the company on those.

Third and probably a big third, think about the destruction of our pilot-mec unity and what that might cost us. Meeting face to face with the coo at a pool balcony with no direct witnesses did not install trust at a time when trust was the biggest thing needed.

Fourth, the company now thinks we are pushovers and will do anything to help them with no gain for us, we are totally screwed forever. So yes I feel slighted. I also do think people who ***** and moan should indeed apply elsewhere. They are probably the ones who leave the trash bags and unplug the headsets, so good riddance.
Ditto point 1
Ditto point 2
Ditto the "big Third" point
Ditto the fourth.

Spot on Sir!
