I guess the lines the last few bid periods are awesome in your eyes also.
No long call reserve, no premium pay other than JM and that will stop as they utilize more reserves and staffing catches up.
We will be doing recurrent from home for the most part soon, so we lose our ability to create conflicts that month and lose credit.
We have no red eye override, we are flying 228 pax around for basically the same as we do for 145. No ability to sell back sick time, hotels that we have little control over, no ability to pick up trips if you bid a reserve line.
It isn't bad by any means here, but I know that colleagues in the same position at other majors work less and earn more for the same thing we are doing. Sure, there are pilots around here that do really well, but it is few and far between and you really have to work the system and whor3 yourself out to make the same as a legacy pilot who only works their schedule.
So enlighten me on what is great besides transition and 4 days off?
I would like to see what we would be offered if we gave transition up and went pbs. If it would be real $$, I bet many would think about it. As the lines are getting 5hityy around here and pbs would almost be welcome.
Easy there big dawg... He asked about the call. I conveyed none of my personal thoughts either way and apparently I'm horrible at sarcasm.
A point about pbs, someone correct if I'm wrong, I got the feeling from the NC that neither the company OR the majority of us are interested in it??
Anyways we have much work to do and there are MANY OPINIONS. The NC will take the survey results and run with what the majority ask for.
Hopefully some of it is close to what you want and you can relax a bit. It's going to be a while, unfortunately.
Cheers
