My gut tells me it'll be at least 3 months before they offer the 145 to new hires. There are plenty of FOs on property who want and will get the jet before they offer it to new hires. 3 months = 60 people ahead of you that will go to United before you. That's potentially a year, if not more that you'll be pushed back from getting on with UAL. Making the choice to be set back that much in your career over an airplane is just dumb.

Besides you'll have more fun on the Dash, probably better crews and you actually might have to be a pilot and not a button pusher.
