I'm sure it's absolute and unwaiverable. But, if management wants you to relax it you will. I don't think people will pace back and forth to fly RJs. If you don't relax it there is no way they're gonna budge on the rates.
Funny part of it is your pilot group getting all hot and bothered to fly these airplanes when not to long ago you scoffed at pilots flying them as substandard and beneath you.

Boy, since you don't know what you are talking about you are now 2 for 2. One of the major reasons the first TA got rejected was because of the scope relaxation exactly like what would be needed for Delta to fly these as part of the regional carriers. Right now, under our current contract the number of 76 A/C is capped (and no more room for more) and 98 seaters can't be flown anywhere other than mainline.
