Everyone seems to get nervous when you mention Bombardier and mainline flying in the same sentence. Those people have not done their research. The C-Series (both the 100 and the 300 versions) is not a CRJ. Since we will be spending a lot of time up front on multiple legs, your flight deck should hopefully be comfortable as well as facilitate situational awareness.

Sure, we as pilots have no say in the matter. Management will make up its mind based on economics and the best deal. Sounds like Embraer might have an edge at UAL given all of the E170/5s currently operating for the airline - but you never know.

Regardless, I hope one of the legacies picks up this type. I have been watching this program for the last 3 years and I am impressed. The CEO of Bombardier is an ex aircraft leasing company executive - let's hope he can sharpen his pencil for some good major airline deals.
