You overstate and overestimate what they company will pay for one MOU, and unlike you I am not willing to throw double furloughees under the bus. Vague comments like "I am sure the furloughees will be made whole in a contract negotiation" are devoid of substance when spoken by a selfish person like you. I voted yes, AND I KNOW that when this passes the double furloughees will be made whole...and I get a nice perk of a pay raise as well... I'm ex-military, I don't fear anything, and unlike a civilian like you I don't leave anyone behind
Okay, let me just say I was military as well. I will leave characterizations as to who you are and what you believe in out of this debate as I have no idea who you are. Lets stick to the facts. 1. I have no desire to "leave the furloughees behind" I only have a desire to improve working conditions for the entire pilot group as was the stated mission of your current MEC Chairman when he told me in 2013 the importance of voting yes even though there were inherent problems in that contract and that it was important to get the two pilot groups together so we could fix things in the next contract through section 6. 2. Your assessment of the supposed negotiated reserve is absolutely wrong. The company proposed concessionary changes to the reserve system and your MEC Chairman said since they wanted concession we told them to take that off the table. This is recorded fact.
Your assessment that the company won't give us any more than they have already offered is the very defeatist attitude that leaves this pilot group with ZERO pension. The company will NEVER give us anything. We get what we are willing to stand up and negotiate for with an uncompromising resolve.
You quote me as saying "I am sure the furloughees will be made whole in a contract negotiation" is false. I made no such quote.
