Might not be a factor for most traffic tickets, but for something else (like certain minor stuff like loitering/littering), it could be.
That's the point -- the airlines don't really care about that stuff as much as we think they do.
If you're not getting a call to interview, it isn't because of littering and loitering tickets you self-reported on your application.
