Who cares if you're on probation? You think you're gonna get called into the chief pilot's office and get fired for not laughing at "GUARRRRDDDDDD" comments by captains?
I've instructed older pilots long enough to know when someone is going to ignore me because their pride gets in the way. I also know when someone would never back down and apologize when they have missed the lesson and chucked a spear unjustly.
