The number of pilots who flow will initially be lower, 35% of all AA new hire classes but when the 40th 175 shows up, that number goes back to 50% of AA new hires. The 175s are already showing up at an accelerated rate - the time between the last 824 and the 40th 175 delivery should only be a few months. Most people were expecting some sort of delay or slow down to the 175 delivery schedule.
Even if one doesn't intend to flow to AA. It's nice insurance for guaranteed movement. That's not including those who go to LCCs or other legacies.
2 more -175s are coming this month and they're ready to begin flying as soon as the 20th. Sounds like it'll be on a reserve basis, if you will. If Mesa cancels, or one of our -700s cancels, they'll have a -175 ready to go.
