I find it interesting that some Alaska Pilots feel they are better than the rest and do not care about who flies other equipment with their name on it.
Horizon pilots aside have no choice, vote no and you will be 50% smaller in three years. Vote yes and well you pretty much stay the same size. I know the profits are through the roof and Air Group is spending 41 million on a sign, I will vote NO and like it or not it will pass. Our souls will go down the river but we will still fly.
Now what I find interesting is everyone realizes there is a gap and someone has to fly a 95 seat something. Air Group pretty much has them in the next 30 option order. Are you guys going to fly it for less than you make today? For the same as Skywest will fly it? Just guessing no way in hell. That being said we will never get scope but god forbid two unions or pilot groups work together and force the group to have all flying in-house by an Air Group pilot. You can spin that however you want. When we all retire we are Air Group retirees.
It is all in the numbers if we do not have something to lure pilots to fly Horizon planes you lose up to 60% or more of your feed, maybe instead of bashing each other we should figure out how to work together so we all do better and at the same time keep the lowest scum of the earth from flying our passengers.
Oh yeah rumor has it PBS was sold to our union by yours so it is coming to you soon.
