Default 1/19 interview

Hi guys,

Truly had a great time at the interview. Seemed like they really went out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and at ease. They did say "Don't ask us about the aquisituon of Southern, we just found out about it same as you." They have classes to fill and are doing business as usual.

Started with the film about Atlas, it's history and business. Pretty well done. I was fortunate to do both sections (HR and tech) before lunch, we were released after lunch if both sections completed. Both were about 30 min. I was done early, so I caught the bus to the beach for the afternoon.

The general consensus was that the HR part was more intense (didn't really rate as intense, but more so than the tech). One representative from HR and two pilots, one of whom which was a union rep. HR asked why Atlas and wanted to really make sure you were ok with the lifestyle. The pilots asked about a time CRM worked in the cockpit and how I would handle a captain using nonstandard procedures. Also about what I felt would be the most difficult thing for me in training and how would I prepare for it. Then if I had questions for them.

The tech portion was more of a conversation about my experience and some talk of how Atlas does training. Very pleasant time.

They had at least 4 different teams for bot HR and tech, so your experience may differ.

Also 3 line pilots came in over lunch and let us ask questions. We could freely ask whatever as no interviewers were in the room. That was nice as the group asked some good in depth questions. Overall a great experience.

Some notes if you stay at the Hilton doubletree: there is no rate for Atlas, that would've been a nice touch as its about $200/night. Also, don't buy the $18 breakfast, they had a nice spread in the interview area with fruit, pastries, juice coffe and such. A good lunch as well.

Good luck everyone!
