That explanation on the email was clear as mud.
What happens if a pilot has to call in sick or get bought off for OE?
The original intent was to protect these situations, but by inserting "non-working calendar day" in the language caused all time prior to November 28th to not be paid and it is still not credit, which is a very helpful facet. You would like to see it as credit since you are more protected and PBS would use it towards your MLV unless you waived it. Understand the point being, your choice.
Just in case anyone forgot, the whole reason the adtg came about was because the company refused to give credit and then after we voted, only pay and credit for "non-working calendar days", while no pay or credit for those 0001 duty offs, then pay only and no credit for them after November 28th. It should have always been a choice between the adtg or full credit and pay for these days.
The adtg would have always paid and credited a 2 leg turn to FAI at 14:15. Now it will thankfully pay 12:00, but only credit 8:00. Is that really a better choice? How about flying a LAX-SAN daytrip and getting paid 4:00 vs. 4:45 or 6:00 vs. 7:07 with critical pay? With partial trading/pickups and how little you could fly while still getting the adtg, your tafb/credit ratio was really high. It's too bad people won't be able to do that anymore. I'm surprised the company was even considering keeping the adtg over the 4:00.
