ATP CTP Course for Type Rated B777/B747??
I am trying to get some information for my friends.
How does the ATP CTP course works out for someone who is already Type-rated and flying a B747 or B777?
I have a colleague who has a CPL/ATP from another country and wants to get FAA ATP. He is flying for a company in HK and since HK is not a member of ICAO, their license is not recognized by FAA. Thus he cannot get a FAA license directly. However, he does have FAA CPL/IR/MEL.
Does one still has to go through all the courses and spend the money to fly the Sim, even though the person is already trained and has the required experience? Any information would be helpful.
