We will do that not by stomping our feet and holding our breath until we turn blue. Rather, it will be done by being professional and flying the current contract to the letter. In the meantime I intend to enjoy life as much as I can and Atlas is a pretty good place to do just that.
All of the above is spot on. Ive had a few revelations as I grow older and experiencing the furlough wagon twice in 5 years. I feel in retrospect it was a blessing I was on the street and forced to reinvent myself. My wife stuck by my side and I can only imagine how bitter I would have become had I had continued down the road attitude-wise I was traveling in this industry.
Now, I work for an ACMI carrier in a really caustic work environment and have learned how to put things in perspective commensurate with my last 5 years and current employer. I feel strong, positive and am ready to come to Atlas (pool letter 1/22, arm swimmies on) and begin this incredible journey with my new perspective. I am feeling very fortunate and blessed.
I cant help but think all of these events of the last 5 years haven't been to realign me to have a successful marriage and career. Looking forward to contributing to the pilot profession/brethren at Atlas and upholding the betterment of our contract.
