5 Aug CJO, so looking like around the first of April for Delta training. I may still make the jump to Delta after I go to American for training, but I haven't made a decision about going American yet either. Still trying to weigh all options. I know there is another guy in my 5 Aug class that is flying for SW right now. Unknown if he will bail on them and go Delta when the call comes in.
If I had the choice between Delta or American and I didn't live in a Delta-only base, I'd choose American. I think you'll have better seniority progression there and they'll probably end up with more widebody flying in the long term. Who knows though after a 30 year career!
