Anyone know if ATLAS will help a guy get his ATP?
I'd really like to go here over a regional airline as I want to travel overseas and fly larger equipment.
I'm currently at 700hours (Mostly turbine single-engine) and have a Multi-Engine Rating with only 6 multi hours. I've heard atlas hires at ATP mins occasionally off the street and want to know the best way to get in, and if they would sponsor a CTP course as long as I got 25 multi prior (like the regionals are offering) ? Do I have a chance or do i need to go get my ATP first?
I don't think that you'll be competitive at this point in your career. I don't think Atlas will sponsor a course as long as they have plenty of applicants for their positions. The turbine time is a necessary evil at this point and the overwhelming majority of successful applicants are either prior 121 cargo, prior regional, or prior military. Good luck.
