I'm perfectly happy here, and I think I'd be perfectly happy at Delta, the original poster has received a lot of good advice on the forum. I'd vote for us, but he's got a tough choice and it comes down to personal preferences. I don't think anyone can go wrong with either company.

One thing though, a lot of assumptions are made that the Major Passenger airlines, (Delta, American, United) are going to lose money during the next recession. I'm not so sure they are going to repeat past history. I think they will be more like Southwest has historically been and just make less money. Don't forget, Delta and Northwest were profitable airlines prior to and even after the Deregulation Shootout of the late 70s and 80s. I could be wrong on the future though, just my opinion.

Besides, all airlines, including us are just one Management Team away from misery.

OKLATX , at times NWA was profitable but I can tell you that I took several pay cuts during the period from the 70's thru 2004 . It was feast or famine and if I was a new guy starting out now I would save a lot more than I did back then. Hard times will come.
