I really can't believe this as I type it, but I'm actually agreeing with him. I am going to screenshot this lol. Reserve can be due to a variety of reasons and sometimes may be out of one's control. But commuting is absolutely a choice. Pretty sure you can take a company paid move with your bid. And everyone off probation can take advantage of the career move. If you chose not to, that is on you. We all have choices, there are tons of options working in the industry, but we are all adults and have to weigh the pros and cons of each decision. It's completely within your rights to commute, and I did it for close to 15 years but it was always a choice. Nobody can force you to commute, and everyone off probation has a contractual right to be moved on the companies dime to your domicile.
