Ya know, volunteering doesn't have to mean feeding the homeless and building roads. Spending time volunteering for the union at your current job can go a long way. I get it, we have families and life outside our work, but improving your current company isn't a bad way to....ya know....improve your current company. Then when you come to Alaska, Delta, American, whatever, you have some experience to improve that place too. Just sayin'.
Have done plenty of union work. However, think twice before putting that on your resume as it could turn off potential anti-union employers and HR bafoons. Thoughts?
