If only we had a way to do some type of Temporary Domicile Transfer (or TDT for short) Where we could just assign someone a transfer for 2 or 3 months. If they were commuting from the west coast it would make their commute easier for a couple months. And provide some QOL improvement for the understaffed based, save some money on hotels and deadhead flights. If only there was something like that setup so we could use it.... Oh well, we can keep dreaming.
This is rarely if ever used. The only time I have seen it done was a giant cluster violating seniority. In theory, it would be the perfect remedy for the current situation. Which means there is no way it will be implemented.
