There were some rumors going around back then that he turned states evidence, and maybe did not do hard time. I googled Lynn Klinefelter criminal trial; jail sentencing, etc. Anyone want to give it a try?
I remember the article at the time, he was caught flying drugs with a CAL scab. Not sure what happened later, but a deal with the Feds sounds about right. He was a super Scab. They used him to make training videos after the strike, when TK was a loyal employee refuge. Just a touch of revenge by the managers that we had to sit there and watch him. So, it was a very pleasant turn of events when he got busted.
Dave Miller was just a terrible pilot and no one liked to fly with him. It was one of those cases that we were not disappointed when he crossed. He may have retired early and died not long after.
