If you are in an understaffed fleet and base, and getting used every day on reserve, being on reserve sucks under any system or set of rules. If you are used moderately or less, it can be a good deal.

If you hate waking up not knowing what is going to happen, you will not be happy on reserve.

If you commute, you will not be happy on reserve. Unless you like hanging out in a crash pad in your boxers and black socks, hunched over your laptop complaining on APC.
