I see a ton of contractual strife in your main thread, so that's a little disheartening, but it's got to be better than here, right? Maybe commuting to LAS? Shorter reserve time? Pointers appreciated, thanks!

This is still a decent place to work. I have no real complaints other than needing to be compensated properly. We will get a better contract, but sometimes it takes a few headaches and time. Anyone that has been in this business long enough knows that. People like to complain a lot on APC, so you just have to read between the lines, and skip over much of the BS. One of the big draws to Spirit was the fast upgrade, but it is slowly increasing past the 2 1/2 year point. The legacy carriers are seeing fairly quick upgrades also right now. If you are young enough, then perhaps the legacy is the way to go. It all depends on what you want out of an aviation career. Some folks want the long-haul, international, wide body flying. Some just want to be part of a legacy carrier, and all that goes with it. Others just want a decent place to work, be compensated properly, fly decent equipment, and work with nice folks. I like working here. Personally, I'll fly a Cessna 172 or a Piper Arrow if I get paid enough. Good luck.
