When you are junior and have 6 days of flying or 6 day stint on reserve, you gotta be prepared. It all fits In a stealth 22" and easily in the overhead of a -200 or -900, and chargers also loaded in the side. Add a duffle for the iPad, food (protein bars and nuts), and headphones, you still have room for a big water bottle when you start your trip. That brings up another point. For luggage, a 22" stealth will fit in all the mainline overheads wheels first. A 26" won't. If you commute or are junior with deadheads, baggage space is a concern. The 22" works great, the 26" is huge, but the convenience of a 22" is far better. Pack accordingly.
Just don't buy or wear the hat. Not required. If it ever is required, there will be a contractual gain and it will get negotiated to be provided to you. The hat won't fit in the bag. I have all my hair, not wearing it until I'm paid to wear it. It would mess up my hair!
